Here are examples of benefits RNs have won in their AFSCME Contracts:

Retention bonus-- At Mclaren hospital in Michigan a full-time RN who completes seven years of service receives a $3500 bonus.

Certification bonus-- At O'Bleness hospital in Ohio nurses receive an hourly differential payment for maintaining certification in a specialty applicable to their primary work duties. 

Training bonus-- Nurses at University of New Mexico hospitals who complete an operating room training program receive a $200 bonus as an incentive.
